In 1972, Professor Raoul Tubiana founded the ‘Institut de la Main’ (Hand Institute), a scientific, not profit organization.
In 1985, the Institut de la Main changed its name to ‘Institut Français de la Main’ (French Hand Institute) and established itself at the Clinique Franklin (Paris, France).
The Institut de la Main moved to the Clinique Jouvenet (Paris, France).
The Institut de la Main relocated to the Clinique Bizet (Paris, France). New physicians joined the team.
In 20 years of existence, the INSTITUT DE LA MAIN has become one of the main hand and upper limb surgery centers in Europe. Its nine surgeons on staff can treat all hand and upper limb problems.
